Jamie joined MLIM in 1998, leaving to join OP in March, 2005. At MLIM he was initially a fund administrator and later a product specialist, responsible for the sales, marketing and client relationships of the global equity team. He graduated from Loughborough University. He is primarily responsible for client relationships and marketing and was appointed Chief Executive in July 2013. He is part of the investment team.
Jamie became Chairman of NCI in March 2017.
Dominic founded Somerset Capital Management in 2007 and is the firm’s Chief Executive Officer and Director of Marketing. Somerset Capital Management LLP is an employee-owned Global Emerging Markets, specialist fund management firm. Dominic was Chairman of NCI from 2015 until 2017.
Dominic has spent the last 14 years raising capital for various institutions in Asia, the USA and the UK starting with Robert Flemings in London in 1995 and Jardine Fleming in 1998. From 2001-2007 Dominic, with Jacob Rees-Mogg and Edward Robertson, built Lloyd George Management from $1.5bn under management to $16bn when he left in April 2007.
Dominic graduated from Durham University in 1995.
Daniel has considerable experience in wealth management and merchant banking, having advised some of Europe’s most prominent families and industrialists for over 20 years. Formerly Senior Banker at UBS Warburg in London and Paris concentrating on mergers and acquisitions, he was a member of the firm’s executive committee in France. He was also Chief Executive of a private equity fund backed by CVC Capital Partners.
Daniel sits on several prominent boards and investment committees and regularly contributes economic and financial editorials to leading newspapers. He is the author of 'Capital Wars', a book published in early 2014.
He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MA in Economics from Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and an MSc in Finance from Universite Paris-Dauphine.
Susannah is a Partner and the Chief Operating Officer of S. W. Mitchell Capital.
Susannah joined SWMC in late 2010 and headed up the business development team with particular focus on the US and marketing of the firm more generally until 2014 when she took on the role of COO. Susannah was made a Partner in January 2015.
Susannah started her career in 2008 at Citywire Financial Publishers where she was responsible for the commercial aspects of their UK fund manager ratings business and external research.
Susannah was born in England and educated at Uppingham School and at Edinburgh University, where she read Politics.
After obtaining a degree in Economics and Business from Rome’s La Sapienza University, he began his career in 1998 with Citco Fund Advisors in New York as analyst for the fund-of-funds management team. In 2000 he opened Citco London office as head of research for European Markets and in 2002 he returned to New York to head Citco Fund Advisors. He joined Kairos in early 2003 to open the New York office of the Group and co-manage the multi-manager business. In 2006 he opened and run the Kairos Hong Kong office. In 2012 he moved to our London office. He is the CEO of Kairos Investment Management Limited, the London branch of the Group specialized in managing single-manager and multi-manager alternative funds.
James Lloyd, has been Director of Marketing and Business Development at Mayfair Capital since September 2009.
James is an Executive Director and responsible for all aspects of Mayfair Capital's marketing and business development, including raising funds across its portfolios, investor relations with current clients, while developing further relationships with new investors in the charity, professional investor and institutional markets.
Prior to this James worked for St Vincent Capital, a boutique property investment company, having previously worked for 12 years running a leading West End art gallery, which followed the completion of a Short Service Commission in HM Armed Forces.
David is a Founder & Managing Partner of Vestra Wealth LLP. Vestra Wealth is a partnership established in 2007 to provide customised financial advice across all asset classes.
David is a former managing director of UBS in London, where he headed up both the high net worth wealth management and the stockbroking divisions in the UK. Before UBS, he co-founded and was Managing Partner of Scott Goodman Harris, a boutique advisory business that was acquired by UBS in 2004.
Charles joined Waverton in June 2016 as Head of Funds following the acquisition of 2CG Senhouse where he was a Director having co-founded Senhouse Capital in 2008. Prior to this he was Head of Sales and director at Bedlam Asset Management. He started his career on the sell side for Salomon Brothers (1995-6), ABN AMRO (1996-9) and CLSA Emerging Markets (1999-2002) based variously in Southeast Asia, South America and London. Charles graduated from the University of Newcastle with a degree in History in 1994.
Algernon Percy graduated from Christ Church, Oxford, in 1990 with a degree in History. He has since written a book about the Crimean War. He worked in the Private Client department of Mercury Asset Management (later Merrill Lynch Investment Managers) for nine years, before joining Waverton (then J O Hambro Investment Management) in 2003. He became Head of Private Clients, and then in 2013 was appointed Managing Director. He manages the Waverton Portfolio Fund.
Anton is Head of the Advisory and Markets Division and acts as lead adviser to a number of wealthy international families. Anton joined the Stonehage Group in 2002 after working for ten years as an investment banker in London and Frankfurt, gaining experience in UK and international Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions with Merrill Lynch, Hambros Bank and Charterhouse Bank.
Anton qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990 after obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Cape Town in 1986.
Toby Illingworth joined NCI in 2013 and as the project Co-ordinator. He became the Executive Director in 2015 and is responsible for running NCI’s day-to-day operations and managing our overall strategy. Previously he worked at Glyndebourne Opera House and has also spent a number of years working in politics. In addition to his work at NCI, Toby is a serving District Councillor in Sussex and a Partner of The Channel Group, a think tank championing free trade internationally.
Jonathon Read acts as Policy Director to the NCI. He is an experienced financial services professional, who has run businesses at major financial institutions in London and New York. He has held elected local office as a councillor in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, where he was Lead Member for Finance, Lead Member for Family & Children’s Services, and chaired the Investment Committee that oversees the borough’s pension assets (approximately $1 Billion AUM). He is founder and chairman of Your Credit Union, a mutually-owned financial services company for West Central London, and founder of Triborough Opportunities, a charity that encourages public financial literacy and promotes sustainable financial inclusion.
Jonathon is a Professor of Finance at Luxembourg School of Business, and teaches on the Masters in Finance program at London Business School. He has taught as a Fellow at Cambridge Judge Business School, leading courses at the MBA, MFin and MPhil levels, and as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia Business School in New York, where he has taught on the MBA and EMBA courses and supervised several research projects. Jonathon holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder, holds the Certified Financial Planner™ and Professional Risk Manager certifications, and is a Chartered Financial Planner, Chartered Wealth Manager, Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.
Charles Gubert is a consultant to the NCI. He is founder of GTL Associates, a research, copy-writing and marketing consultancy to financial services institutions, and a contributing editor at Global Custodian Magazine. Prior to this, he was a research manager at Thomas Murray IDS, a consultancy and editor at COOConnect, an online title aimed at chief operating officers at alternative and long-only fund managers. He started his career as a reporter at Risk Magazine and Hedge Funds Review.
